Current Vacancies

We are currently looking to fill the following positions.

Project Manager (PM)

PMs are responsible for the definition and execution of customer projects. Definition is through development of the scope of work and time and resources plan at the quotation stage and execution once a contract is received through managing to the project plan.
The PM’s responsibilities shall also include:-
  • Working with directors, engineering and sales managers to fully identify the customer needs.
  • Identification of the, human, financial and hardware resources required to properly execute a project.
  • Assisting in identification of areas of risk within the project such that this may be highlighted to the client.
  • Preparation of scopes of work, time and resources plans.
  • Working with the engineering and workshop managers to ensure that the design and development and realisation processes are followed as defined within the integrated management system.
  •  Reporting to the directors on project status, issues and concerns and actions required.

Quality Control Inspector

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the quality control and inspection of goods inwards .
The Quality Control Inspector’s responsibilities shall include:-
  • Supplier Audits in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001
  • Goods received inspection and documentation, including raising Non Conformance Reports
  • Quality Plans
  • Inspection & Test Plans
  • Liaison with Certifying Bodies
  • Organisation of 3rd party attendance
  • Inspection and Test Equipment Control
  • Coating Inspections

Technician

Technicians are responsible for the safe and correct assembly and testing of company products and qualification testing of new developments.
In addition technicians responsibilities shall include:-
  • Developing control systems especially PLC programming for test equipment
  • Assisting in preparation of test and assembly procedures
  • Staging components and tooling required for assembly and test
  • Maintenance of workshop equipment as directed by workshop manager/operations manager
  • Ensuring workshop is clean and tidy at all times and free form trip and slip hazards as far as practical
  • Offloading, booking in and storing parts and equipment received
    • Manual Handling
    • Use of trolley, forklift, manual hoist, cranes
  • Assembly of equipment for test
    • Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and gas systems
    • Medium voltage (240v max) electrical works
  • Testing of pressurised and load bearing systems
    • Hydraulic, pneumatic and gas testing from 0 – 45,000 psi
    • Application of loads via hydraulic cylinders (<100T)
    • Recording of results and reporting of observations and faults
    • Calibration of instrumentation
  • Compliance with integrated management system
    • As per competency matrix – Processes: 4, 8, 9, 10, 12

CERTIFICATIONS

Flintstone has a totally integrated management system that covers all aspects of the company’s activities and how we operate. In 2012 the company gained ISO 9001 accreditation with DNV and this was supplemented early in 2014 with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. In 2016 Flintstone’s accreditation transferred successfully to the updated ISO 9001:2015 and 14001: 2015 standards.
